This weekend is WordCamp UK 2012, in Edinburgh Scotland. Since I started working at WooThemes, I wanted to visit this WordCamp. Not only will it be the first time I’m meeting Mike and James, my two closest colleagues, but also the country where some regular WordCamp Netherlands visitors come from, so it will be good to return the visit. I’m very curious how a WordCamp is done in the UK.
I will be doing the State of WordPress & eCommerce in 2012 again, which has been improved much since I did that talk in New York last month. It all makes me a little nervous though, since my talk will be the very first talk of the day and will be on the main stage. But hey, there is a first for everything, right? 😉
Oh yeah, the hashtag for WordCamp UK is #wordcampuk. That is a long one, right? I’d say go for #wcuk since that is also the way most WordCamps do it, lots of people are actually using that, but it is never the official hashtag. To add more crazy to this, there is also the #wpuk hashtag and the confusion is completed…
